Scion was first started in year 2002 by Toyota North America, this year Scion is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary with the launch of a limited edition series, announced at the New York Auto Show that it will release a limited-production version of each vehicle in its lineup called the “Scion 10 Series”.
The Scion Limited Edition 10 Series will include the FR-S, tC, iQ, xB and xD models with an exclusive paint color called “Silver Ignition”, and will be equipped with LED-illuminated Scion badges (front and back) that light up when the driver unlocked the car, a solar-powered illuminated shift knob, a sequentially numbered interior badge and the Scion name illuminated on the dash before fading to reveal the number 10.
Additional features that only available for model xB, iQ, and xD are the unique alloy wheels with graphite finish, while the Scion 10 Series FR-S will come fitted with HID headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps, dual automatic climate controls and a smart key with push-button start ignition as standard.
The Scion 10 Series are limited to a total of 10,000 vehicles, the official sales will begin in June, 2013. Pricing starts at $17,850 for the iQ 3-door hatchback and goes up to $28,675 for the FR-S 2-door coupe with automatic transmission. Future customers will have to pay a $755 delivery, processing and handling fee.
